MONICA FERGUS
FISH CERAMICS My ceramic fish wall sculptures are inspired by the beautiful and captivating
forms and colours of living fish. Some are based on tropical fish; others on the fascinating species to be found right here around the shores of Ireland. In our studio by Kinsale, where fish swim past the bottom of our garden, I shape every piece by hand and paint every piece with its own specially mixed and layered glazes. Each piece is unique. For thousands of years fish have been seen as symbolising happiness freedom the life force good luck one-ness and faithfulness abundance creativity. I use their dynamic forms and vibrant, life-enhancing colours to create a sense of joie-de-vivre. Monica Fergus : Fish Ceramics [email protected] 087 7786349 |
CLAIRE 'CiCi' O'SHEA
Originally from Bantry, mixed media artist Claire 'CiCi' O'Shea now lives and paints full time, near the town of Kinsale. Although she has painted throughout her life it wasnt until 2019, after deciding she needed a career change and undertaking a 12-month art mastery programme in 2021 with Milan Art Institute, that she was able to realise and develop her own style and art processes. Whether painting abstracts or empowering female figures, a sense of movement and energy is at the heart of her expressive style. “My hope is that my energetic and colourful aesthetic might bring with it some light and hope and to empower those who want to live a colourful life.” To find out more about the artist, and to see more of her works, visit her website www.ciciartdesign.ie or social media pages @ciciartdesign on Instagram and Facebook. Claire 'CiCi' O'Shea hosts open studio gallery visits upon request, message her through her social media or website to arrange. |

OLIVIA HOWE
Olivia lived in Weavers Point, Crosshaven for most of her life, and a lot of her work is a direct response to being close to the sea and the coastline of Co Cork. She is a graduate of The Crawford College of Art & Design, where she majored in Painting & Printmaking. Her present work is an ongoing exploration of different ways of drawing - including memory drawing and drawing-blind - to try to find a freer and a stronger way to express herself through her subject matter. You can find Olivia on Instagram Website: www.oliviahowe.com |
HOLLY HUNT
Holly is inspired by the human form, and its ability to express movement and emotion as an integral part of our natural environment. We are at a time of climate and environmental crisis. Her work encourages the viewer to celebrate our belonging within the natural world, and inspire us to care. |
SARA ROBERTS - CERAMIC ARTIST
Sara lives on the south Cork coast where she works from her studio creating hand-built, beautifully glazed porcelain wall pieces. Patterns, textures and colours found along her native shorelines are the main source of inspiration in Sara’s work. Some of her pieces evoke a sense of quiet isolation, others the energy of the sea. Distant horizons, detailed foregrounds and the movement of water draw the viewer deep into the landscape and beyond...

VICOTR RICHARDSON
Victor has exhibited widely in Ireland, Britain and America for many years. He is represented by galleries in Dublin, London and Belfast. "What immediately strikes one on viewing Richardson's paintings is their sheer effervescence. They bubble with life. Like bubbles in a glass of champagne, the colours pop and dance across the canvas".

ROSER PÉREZ
My work explores the beauty of our surroundings, and the natural forces that created and shaped them - with a special focus at the way our bodies adapt and react to these natural surroundings. My pieces are the result of a life long search for the infinite possibilities of combining fine art and the traditional craft of silversmithing. |
MAREE O'SULLIVAN
Maree is a Silk Painting and Mixed Media Artist. She loves the visual effects of freedom of the paint as it takes on a life of it's own once it hits the silk, and the colours merge together. As a Floral Designer, flowers have shaped her identity, and directed her towards painting large blooms. Maree predominately paints on silk, but also loves to dabble in mixed media. She has a passion for upcycling and upstyling pre-loved furniture and other items... including wellies. |
ROSE NEENAN
Rose is a local artist. Her main focus is creating Sandpaintings. This is a unique approach to painting with sand, texture, colour and depth. The pattern of the sand falls onto the watercolour paper to create the 'outline' of the piece and layers of acrylic inks and paint are added to create the magic of the ever changing colours. The light catches aspects of the painting at different times of the day and evokes subtle changes in the hues. |
CLODAGH MONKS
I circled back to my love of art in the past few years as a way to reconnect with the beautiful Irish landscapes around me and take time for myself. I gather reference photos, always seeking the light. Coming back to my studio I begin with a complementary underpainting of pastel and alcohol washes and continue to build up in soft pastel, charcoal and further washes. I studied fine art printmaking in Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) in the 90’s and then parked my practice as I created a family and a new career in finance and start-up businesses. A few years back I fell in love with soft pastels. I adore the vibrancy and immediacy of this medium and just love using my hands and fingers to get the textures and hues of the subject onto paper. |
TRIONA RYAN
Triona is very interested in themes relating to the immanent, spiritual growth and the healing power of nature. She explores these themes through sculpture. Her work often celebrates the resilience of the human spirit. Forged by Fire and Transcendence are two such examples. Connecting with the Spirit Nature is an example of how she likes to capture the startling beauty of the natural world. Her overall goal is to convey emotion and a sense of beauty. Triona’s work has been included at Richie Scott’s annual Ballymaloe Sculpture Exhibition as well as the Tracton, Kinsale and Kilkenny Arts Festivals. She recently participated in a group exhibition in Innishannon in support of The Marie Keating Foundation, and at The Crawford College of Art and Design Final Degree Show 2023. |
Tommy Lysaght
Tommy has been involved with stone for over 20 years, beginning with stone building and restoration, heritage work, organic horticulture, and garden design. In more recent years, with the support, guidance and mentorship of a number of master sculptors he has been developing his artistic expression in stone, creating organic abstract work inspired by forms from the natural world. “My practice is an expression, an exploration, and a rekindling of our relationship with nature, and a way of reconnecting with our place within the wild systems so often forgotten and threatened by the demands of the modern world.” Alongside this, I feel privileged to work in education and community arts, and to share my love of sculpture and carving with others. This includes workshops with youth and community groups and marginalised people, encouraging their self-expression and creativity through engagement with natural materials, and with stone carving. In turn, I gain inspiration from the resilience and creative solutions these groups find to deal with obstacles, vulnerabilities, and challenges they face in their art, and in their daily lives.” |
