The history and renovation of Knocknamanagh School, Minane Bridge
Knocknamanagh School closed in 1951. This beautiful painting of the school by was commissioned in 1958 by Pauline Barry. Pauline was a past pupil at the school, and her father, David Blaney Barry, was headmaster there for almost 30 years.
The building was derelict by the time the renovation project started during 2007.
And by September 2008 restoration of the original building was complete.
