TRACTON MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL
Thursday, 29th June – Sunday, 2nd July 2023
Members of Tracton Arts Committee are now busy planning the 8th Tracton Music and Arts Festival for the first weekend in July. Since the Festival is now a major local event, attracting greater audience numbers than ever and visitors from further afield, we are looking for more volunteers to help us out – absolutely no experience is necessary. Where we are likely to need most help will be on the Ticket Sales and Information Desk in reception, manning the Gallery and selling of art work, selling of raffle tickets (at busier times) and working with the team on serving refreshments, glass/crockery collection/washing and restocking.
If you have other skills you think could be valuable to the festival, such as in the world of marketing, advertising or working social media - or have contacts in any media we could avail of, we would welcome any way of promoting the festival in advance.
The committee should have the programming near completion within the next month. Then all volunteers will be invited to meet up with us to discuss roles that need filling, rotas etc... To enquire about helping out at the Festival, please contact Sara: arts@tracton.org

TRACTON FILM CLUB is looking for Volunteer Film Projectionists to join the Inkwell Film Club team! We need 'techy' people who would be willing and able to operate the screen and sound equipment in the theatre. Films arrive from Access Cinema about a week before screening either by disc or by digital download. Digital downloads need to be done with your own laptop. Duties include receiving and checking the film, making sure it runs smoothly, showing the film on film night, also checking the sound is operating correctly and at the right volume. Training will be provided. You will get to see an interesting variety of films, and have the opportunity to be involved in programming if you wish.
Film nights are normally on the second Friday of each month and are busy, sociable, enjoyable evenings. Please email film@tracton.org if you are interested.
